CD is produced during the XII International Culture and Art Festival “Bodensee-Festival”, this recording is a tribute to Baroque music, commemorating its 300 years of existence. G. F. Händel’s oratorio Das Alexanderfest oder: Die Macht der Musik, conducted by composer and Swabian Baroque music researcher Alexander Sumski is dedicated to the music votaress Saint Cecilia . English poet John Dryden’s ode A Song in Honour of St. Cecilia’s Day written in 1736 provides the base for the oratorio. The CD also includes the chamber music of J. S. Bach, A. Corelli, G. Tartini and A. Vivaldi.
