Saga of Suiti. World premiers

All this week, the State Choir LATVIJA rehearse the performance of Rihards Dubra opera “Saga of Suiti” in Liepaja.

Maris Sirmais about the opera “Saga of Suiti”: “Courland can be proud of many things – its concert hall “Great Amber”, its beautiful architecture, its special luxurious pearls of the cities, Liepaja’s concerts and its symphonies. Now Courland can be proud of its opera. Interestingly, the story of the opera Saga of Suiti is dedicated to the history of Courland, and it is Rihards Dubra, a man with Courland roots, who is entrusted with it. Rihards created the full-length opera for the first time. This is also the first time that the concert hall “Great Amber” Orchestra’s underground tank or “pit” will sound magically. So there’s a lot of primacy in the staging process, and as with those times, there’s no shortage of challenges. ”

The world premieres already on November 8 and 9 in Liepaja, the Great Amber Concert Hall.
