27th International Sacred Music Festival
The State Choir LATVIJA and Artistic Director Māris Sirmais invite audiences during the second half of August and the start of September to the 27th International Sacred Music Festival, the most extensive Latvian sacred music event of the year. This year, we will hear the State Choir LATVIJA under the direction of its Artistic Director Māris Sirmais, as well as under Mikk Üleoja, the Artistic Director of the Estonian National Male Choir, and Zbigniew Graca, the Polish conductor and world-class performer of the Viennese classicists. We will also welcome the Georgian State Choir and its conductor Archil Ushveridze in two guest concerts featuring the rich choral music of Georgia.
The Festival will take place over six concerts in Riga’s St. Peter’s Church, the Ulbroka Pearl Cultural Centre, and Riga Cathedral, from the 15th August to the 12th September.
